Multiline edit control

Too bad. Oh well. Fortunately, in my current scenario, I can get by with a Listbox, a set of Texts, or a set of Edits. But it would be nice to have a full-fledged Multiline Edit.

Multiline edit control

Does FAR provide a multiline edit control? I couldn't find anything like that in the Encyclopedia, and come to think about it, the only place in FAR where I know of something like a multiline edit control is the user menu editor - but judging by its behavior, it's simply a set of several independent...

Need help with DI_LISTBOX

Got it. Had a typo in my code: Instead of setting Y1 and Y2 to distinct values, I set them both to the same value. I still don't feel quite comfortable using the listbox, but I am getting there.

Need help with DI_LISTBOX

I know. Unfortunately, id didn't help me with the problem of my code not running yet. I need to figure out what you are doing differently than I am, because your code works and mine does not.

Need help with DI_LISTBOX

Thanks. I will see what I can do about transforming it to a C-like language. Offhand, it seems that it doesn't do anything else than my own code does, except that I opted for a simple static list with no DialogProc.

Need help with DI_LISTBOX

For the moment, I am giving up. I tried to create a simple listbox with a few fixed items, but without success. The listbox almost certainly exists because I am able to move the cursor to it (and then back), but the listbox itself isn't visible - I just see the gray background of the underlying dial...

Need help with DI_LISTBOX

Hi! I would very much appreciate if someone could give me a brief overview on how to create a listbox and fill it with data. The Encyclopedia is very sketchy here, which added to my lack of knowledge of Russian leads to my total incomprehension of the process. I tried to find a plugin I could use as...

Embedding parent/global user menu in a local user menu

I wonder: Is it possible to automatically include a parent user menu or a global user menu in a local user menu? The reason I want it is: 1) I have several user menu commands which are valid for any directory -> should be a global user menu. 2) In a specific directory, I want some custom actions spe...

Damaged PlugRing data - who to contact?

In the past, PlugRing lost some of its information - e.g. some files got deleted. I fixed that for my plugins, however, it turns out that in one of my plugins, my authorship got removed so I can't update that plugin anymore. Who do I contact about a fix? I tried to PM Alexey Samlyukov, but even thou...

DirSync3 — Synchronize Directories

That's definitely not true. DirSync3 does not default to Visual Compare. There isn't even any functionality for calling a plugin for visual comparison. The default command is "winmerge" (without U or .exe).

Environment variables can be arranged, will put it in my TODO list.

DirSync3 — Synchronize Directories

That's a problem of your configuration. DirSync3 does not perform side-by-side comparison, it calls a program (e.g. WinMerge) to do that. You need to set this program up in plugin options. Then the functionality will work just fine.

Version 1.01 Fixed very long filenames from version v0.90 - the feature did not actually work. The user's decision for the "delete directory" operation (Delete/Skip) is now applied to files within that directory, too. Fixed incorrect redraw after pressing ESC during the synchronization phase. When ...

As I said, I need to figure out some reasonable way of letting the user choose. Your CTRL+M trick would be perfect, except I don't think I can do that in FAR (I don't think there's a call which would intruct FAR to "remember the selection now").
