Lynx motion - make it a setting

Post by kubrat »

Could someone tell me how to get lynx motion working? I think it should be part of the settings just like in the original midnight commander.

Loving FarManager btw.

Please find it at %FARHOME%\addons\Macros\Panel.Lynx-mot.farconfig.
Please see FAR help on command-line options for info on how to apply the file.

If it is Far 3 then the file name is Panel.Lynx-mot.lua.
Copy it to %FARPROFILE%\Macros\scripts and restart Far.

Ah ok.

Where do I get Panel.Lynx-mot.lua from though?

And it looks like I will have to create the Macros\scripts folder.

1. From Addons\Macros folder

2. No, Far creates it automatically.

Code: Select all

cd %farprofile%\Macros\scripts

OK. I got it working in the end. I was looking for the Macros\scripts folder in the wrong place. (AppData\Local instead of AppData\Roaming).

Thanks Shmuel

I definitely haven't got an addons folder though. Instead I got the macro from the net.

Don't know about msi Far distributions (never used them) but all 7z distributions contain that folder.
(May be, when installing from msi you should select it explicitly).

Just checked. That it is exactly what's happening here. The Addons and few other features are not selected by default.

Anyway, thanks for the good advice. I now know how to enable one of my favourite features :D
