Is it the same if run alone, not in the PowerShell console?
Or it's how a regular console looks in Win8?

Yes it is :/
I update FAR often by download nightly (i like this version, and to have a look what You change to make it better ), and unpack archive to my FAR folder.
It's %windows%\system32 -- to make run in PS (console) by command far (its very easy to use).
Problem with colors its from maybe two (three) updates back :/

In the future, please make your screenshots smaller.
Imagine readers with a 1280*1024 display and Internet connection via a cellular network.
Also, use PNG instead of JPEG unless you intend to demonstrate a desktop photo or a frame from a movie.

Re: FAR 3.x x64 (and 32bit) colors problem.
Open Options/Files highlighting and sort groups and press CtrlR there.
If it will not help - open Options/Groups of file masks and press CtrlR there too.
If it will not help too - try to start Far with an empty profile.

Combination "Options/Files highlighting and sort groups and press + CtrlR" solved the problem
