Archive support in 2.0

Post by Joco1114 »

1) When I press Enter on an arcive file, I get a window with "Multiarc.dll/Standard association" selection. Can I skip this "feature", like in 1.x?
2) I am using Windows 7. In an archive I press Enter on an image file. As it seems the winrar will extract it:

Code: Select all

"%COMSPEC% /c start /wait WinRAR.exe x {-p%%P} -y -kb -- {%%S} %%A @%%LNMA"
But the "/wait" switch is in vain while I use the default Windows 7 picture viewer, after Enter I will get back my Far at once. It means, the temporary file will be deleted and the picture viewer cant show it. With other pic viewer everything is correct.

Sorry about my english, maybe it is understandable.

1. Use next settings:

Code: Select all

Windows Registry Editor Version 5.00

[HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Far2\PluginConfirmations]
"OpenFilePlugin"=dword:00000000
"StandardAssociation"=dword:00000000
"EvenIfOnlyOnePlugin"=dword:00000001
"SetFindList"=dword:00000001
"Prefix"=dword:00000001

1) F9 - Parameters / Plugin Confirmation.
2) I prefer 7-ZipFar plugin for unpacking random archives, and PictureView plugin as a fast image viewer.

MultiArc / 7-Zip conflict

Post by pepak »

With FAR 2.0 (build 1082), I am noticing a conflict between the MultiArc plugin and the 7-ZipAlt plugin: When I try to enter an archive (say, Far20b1082.x86.20090814.7z), I am offered a choice between the two plugins, or even "Standard association". Can I somehow force my preference once and for all? 7-ZipAlt has an option "Plugin in used by default", but unlike with FAR 1.75, it doesn't work with 2.0.
