Far crash when attempting replacement in the editor

Post by apsen »

When attemting replacing tabs with pipes in a faily big file (76,477,029 bytes) the FAR crashes at about 92% mark. Latest stable and latest nightly x86 builds both with and without plugins.

Imported SetFarExceptionHandler.reg and run FAR through again.

Does not look like there's any additional information from fexcept...

You are supposed to publish the FStd_trap.log file generated by FExcept in the %FARHOME% directory.

Whatever I posted is whole content of FStd_trap.log file in the %FARHOME% directory. I do not know if fexcept generated it or not but amount of information in that file is exactly the same as before I enabled fexcept. Either it was enabled before (and in that case I do not understand why the original reply suggested enabling fexcept) or it didn't get enabled by importing SetFarExceptionHandler.reg (in that case I guess need more detailed instructions).
In any case how I could recognize FStd_trap.log generated by fxcept?

Just delete the file and reproduce the crash. If FExcept is active, it'll generate a fresh log.

Is there far.map next to Far.exe.
