Synchronize Folders

Post by pepak »

Is there any plugin which would mimic the behavior of Total Commander's Synchronize Folders? I need something which would list changes in the whole directory tree, not just current directory, and would allow me to synchronize both directories. Advanced Compare is pretty much useless if the compared directories have subdirectories.

RSync does something rather different, according to its documentation. Not to mention it's not a FAR plugin but a separate utility.

anyway i think the point here is that rsync was doing it for 12 years and there is little need to reimplement this functionality as far plugin

Possibly. But as far as I can tell, RSYNC does it in a radically different way than I need it.

Thank you for your understanding and goodwill. As I wrote in the first post, I am looking for "any plugin which would mimic the behavior of Total Commander's Synchronize Folders?"
