Personal Plugins Path

Post by DRW »

How can I set personal plugins path like in Far 2 - System settings? This folder is different from Far Installation folder and stores additional plugins. I don't want these plugins to be in Far Manager\Plugins folder.

In Far 3 you can put all your personal plugins into %FARPROFILE%\Plugins

You can use junction or symlink (Alt-F6)
And you can change the path of profile itsels, see Far.exe.example.ini

Also, see the description of /p in the "Command line switches" section of Help.

@John Doe: Seems Alt+F6 will do the job. How can I "unset" symbolic link folder?

@Shmuel: I tried /p parameter but new plugins disappeared after Far restart.

1. Press F8 on it.
2. Command line switches influence only that Far instance you run with them.
