Translator plugin for Editor

Hy.

I've searched all over the place but i couldn't find any plugins that would use translate.google.com or babelfish.yahoo.com (or any other online translation service) to translate the selected text from one language to the other.

I'd like to see such a plugin, it would need to work in the editor (maybe in file list too so it can translate file/folder names :?: ).
Also, it would be nice to be able to select the source and destination languages through a dialog.

Thanx in advance.

P.S. maybe it would be usefull in viewer too, not just editor, in which case it would translate the entire file.

If I develop such a plugin I would try to create it as a FarNet module using some .NET API to a translator. For example, this one looks very straightforward: http://code.google.com/p/google-api-for-dotnet/

But I am not going to do this. If you are a developer and you are fine with .NET then this way seems to be easy, you can give it a try.

UPD: (rumour) this google service is perhaps not free for developers and/or applications.

I know this is an old thread but i thought I'd share a small little program that does what i wanted.

I'm talking about QTranslate which is a small app that can be invoked from the keyboard and the currently selected text in any window will be translated by it (using Google Translate, MSTranslator, Babylon or SDL).
It can show the translation in a small popup, in a window or even replace the selected text with the translation.
I've set it up so that when I press CTRL+SHIFT+ALT+R it replaces the selected text from ANY window with the translated version.

I know it's not exactly a FAR plugin, but it does the job, it's small, it's free and it works :)

I thought I'd share my finding It might be useful for others too.
