Two small questions about FAR

Post by theelf »

Hi!

i have two questions, hope someone can help me a little

After some cosmetic work, i make FAR manager to work as a emulator frontend too, besides normal file manager

Two questions:
1 - Is possible to hide file extension? it will be great to just left names for the ROM directories in emulators
2 - Any way to hide the } simbol when

Greetings

to answer your first question:

1. go to Options/File panel modes.
2. choose your view mode and enter it.
3. set Column types to NN.

Thanks abelenki! yes, i found the idea of use Far like a frontend very exiting, back on 90s when I still was using norton commander, i remember think will be great about using NC like a launcher, with screenshots, etc because not all emulators had a GUI

20 years later i finally I did :) jaja

wow, so easy just NN... thanks for this tip, one of my problem is solved :) now look much better without file extension

Your idea of a custom menu is great, i did not realize about this, i made a descript.ion file with all mame roms I have, with long names, to hide the short ones that mame have

I almost finish all emulators, Famicom/Super, Master system, Megadrive, MegaCD, MSX, 3DO, neogeo, gameboy, gamegear, arcade, etc etc etc, im just doing final cosmetic stuff now
