NetBox — SFTP/SCP/FTP/FTPS/WebDAV client

Post by KtW »

Latest post of the previous page:

This Is Really A Nice Plugin...

...But For Me It's Keep Disconnecting "Timeout detected" When Transfering Files And When Browsing An FTP Server
Even If With FlashFXP Or Original Far FTP Client Works Flawless!

How Can Be Possible? ...Do You Have Some Suggestion To Try Or Something To Reset I Can Try?

For Me Is Now Inusable...

[UPDATE 1]
I've Found A Mitigation Of The Problem... I've Turned Off Emule And Torrent Client So Upload Bandwidth Is Almost Free
Now I Can Use NetBox Again With Less "Timeout" Messages...

It Will Be Nice That The Plugin Can Use QOS Service Or Cache The Full Directory Tree In Background With A Second Connection...

I have a feeling that if WebDav website supports SSL, but SSLv2/v3 are switched off, NetBox v2.1.40 does not work. On maximum logging what it only interesting prints is [Got error: "Connection failed."], so I think that NetBox does not support TLS properly (I have tried all combinations of SSL/TLS). Is it possible to add more logging to the code to trace the problem down?

The same URL works OK on Linux with mount.devfs / OpenSSL 1.0.1i.

NetBox in Far3 does not use keyfile passphrase from Pageant

Post by sh0375 »

Hi,

I'm trying to use Far3 x64 NetBox for making ssh connections to linux servers with private keyfiles.
For each new connection Far asks for passphrase of keyfile.
At the same time putty does not asks passphrase for the same connection - peageant is launched and key file is added to it.

I'm using far2 with pageant on WinXP for a lot of time. And Far2 does not asks for passphrase in the same situations.
What I'm doing wrong with Far3? Or it is bug of Far3 NextBox?

Regards,
Sergey

Ok Finally Found The Solution To My Problem! :)

It Was Not A NetBox Problem But Windows Problem... :bojan:

Just Don't Use PASV Mode In Server Settings...

Now I Need A Way To Tell NetBox To Don't Use PASV Mode By Default When Adding A New FTP Server :D

FTP Transfer do not copy file ctime

Post by skyrail »

I intend to transfer files from an FTP server to a local folder on windows.
I am using windows7 x64 utimate and far manager 3 4581 x64.
The files copied have correct mtime date, but ctime and atime get the current system date. :Search:
I am expecting three of them are the same as in original remote file.
Is this a bug or a functionnality?
When doing the same operation with Flash FXP, all of this is correct.

Otherwise, I noticed a somehow bug when comparing folders between local dir and remote FTP, under far manager x86 olders version (3.0 3900).
Whereas the files are stricty identical (same name, mtime ctime ...size), the manager highlights files as different either on left or right pane (not all files).
But no bug in x64 version. :)
I guess it's been fixed in newer version.
Thanks for your great job.

Which plugin do you use for FTP transfers: old FTP or new NetBox?

NetBox — SFTP/SCP/FTP/FTPS/WebDAV client

Hi,
I've found a bug in the session editor a while ago:

When I create a new FTP connection using Explicit TLS encryption I get the following error when trying to connect:
This security scheme is not implemented
  • Older saved connections work fine,
  • If I change an older connection it won't work anymore.
I've figured out that the old, working session files have this option:

Code: Select all

<Ftps>3</Ftps>
But if I save a new session it changes to 2 and stops working:

Code: Select all

<Ftps>2</Ftps>
So the workaround is to export the session, edit and import back.
It seems a minor bug but very annoying.

NetBox + Private key file passphrase

Post by perverez »

Hi,

I have NetBox 2.3.0 build 436. I try connect to SFTP with Private key file with a password (only with user name, without user password). In WinSCP is -passphrase switch of open command. How I can set passphrase in NetBox?

Just press Alt+F4 instead of export/import.

It would be nice of NetBox supports navigation from "Folder history" (Alt-F12). Or is it general Far limitation?

NetBox v2.2.0.427, Far v2.0 b1807.

This error means that some function was not implemented in NetBox. Will fix in next version soon.
When I choose "Append" during SFTP session, the contents is appended to the end of file. How is it possible to "Resume"?

I have found also a nasty bug in NetBox 2.2.0.427 for "Resume" for FTP connection. When I choose "Resume" and connection is interrupted, NetBox re-establishes the connection automatically after some timeout (OK), but then automatically does "overwrite" (wrong). So each time the connection is reset/interrupted, the destination file is reset and upload begins from scratch.

Я недавно получал рекомендации использовать WebDav.

Смотрим сюда:
https://help.mail.ru/cloud-support/wishes/webdav/

Видим и читаем:
*
доступ по протоколу WebDAV
Я хочу видеть Облако как жесткий диск
К сожалению, в настоящее время данная возможность отсутствует.
*

Так э..э... Как это понимать? Знатоки решили пошутить надомной?

********************************************************
При попытке:

wdmrc.exe -p1234 -l********@mail.ru -s********

v.1.5.13.0
yar229@yandex.ru
[1]: WebDAV server running at http://127.0.0.1:1234

Потом "x", переход в другую задачу Far-а.

Дальше:
net use Z: http://127.0.0.1:1234 ******** /user:********@mail.ru /persistent:yes

Системная ошибка 67. Не найдено сетевое имя.

********************************************************

В Far-e+NetBox:
WebDav
Неявное шифрование TLS/SSL
127.0.0.1
1234
********@mail.ru
пароль

Выходит сообщение об ошибке:

far менеджер плагин Error, code: 1003, message: OPTIONS of 'https://127.0.0.1:1234': could not connect to server (https://127.0.0.1:1234) netbox

Что делать?
