NetBox — FTP/SFTP/WebDAV client
Hi to all, I am a new Far user (but I had used Norton Commander 3.0 very extensively to the late nineties). Totally love the program and the plugins.
I recently tried to use ftp but noticed it doesn't support unicode names and doesn't connect to FTPS. So I tried the NetBox plugin which DOES support unicode names, but I have a problem with FTPS.
When I try to connect to my FTPS server I have the following output:
Which is normal and I click Yes. However I then get the following message:
and I cannot continue. At the same time my server produces the following:
However I can connect without problems using Filezilla.
Am I missing something here ?
Thanks for your time. Also, please direct me to where I can donate a few euros to support the Far and Netbox developers.

Re: NetBox — FTP/SFTP/WebDAV client
Here's the discussion of the NetBox plugin in Russian. You may wish to post there a link to this topic. I believe the author knows English enough.
AFAIK, there's no such mechanism. Though you can contact t-rex directly to try to participate in hosting fees.axonis wrote:please direct me to where I can donate a few euros to support the Far and Netbox developers.

Thanks for your bug report.
I was able to reproduce error, but need some more time to fix this.
However, you still can use NetBox if you change your Filezilla FTPS server options for a while.
Filezilla server options -> SSL/TLS settings -> Force PROT P to encrypt file transfers in SSL/TLS mode - uncheck this option

Thanks very much -- and the workaround does the job temporarily.
Feature request: Provide the option to save a certificate in order to avoid certificate warnings in future sessions.
Also, the message
Could be truncated in order to fit to a normal sized window (mine is set at 110 chars wide and some of the message was cut, so I think some truncation must be necessary).

Re: NetBox — FTP/SFTP/WebDAV client
Which keyfile formats are supported by NetBox? I tried to move my WinSCP plugin configuration to NetBox, but I am getting a "Unable to extract public key from private key file" error. As far as I can tell, both keys are provided in the keyfile (Putty user key file with no encryption).

Re: NetBox — FTP/SFTP/WebDAV client
When I try to resume a file on a SFTP server (File exists. Overwrite? -> Append. Append to the end? -> No.) I get an error "Not implemented. Code: 300". Is it a limitation of NetBox or of the server? Is there anything I can do to remove this limitation?

Re: NetBox — FTP/SFTP/WebDAV client
This error means that some function was not implemented in NetBox. Will fix in next version soon.pepak wrote:When I try to resume a file on a SFTP server (File exists. Overwrite? -> Append. Re: NetBox — FTP/SFTP/WebDAV client
Thank you very much! I find myself in need of this function because since the 1st I am trying to upload my 6GB backup file to a remote site and the connection keeps dropping me at 85-95 %. (The connection drop is caused by my provider, not NetBox.)

you may try new test version https://github.com/downloads/michaelluk ... 64_test.7zpepak wrote:Thank you very much! Re: NetBox — FTP/SFTP/WebDAV client
It seems to work fine. I tried to upload a smaller test file, aborted it in the middle, then tried to resume. The resume started OK, apparently (as shown by the progress indicator), eventually finished and when I downloaded the resumed file and compared it to the original, they matched. I will need to test with a >4GB file eventually, but the functionality seems to work fine for smaller files.
If you find time for that, though, it might be a good idea to provide a "Resume" button in the Overwrite dialog. While the extra dialog after "Append" works, it's not very intuitive. I can live with it, if you don't care to provide an extra button.
Anyway, thanks a lot for this update!
