Setting wrap and codepage with ESC plugin
I am using NetBox to ftp to an IBM i (AS/400 successor) and accessing what are called in the machines parlance Source members. These are fixed width 80 column EBCDIC encoded (codepate 37 files). I don't know how to set codepage with ESC and the files are not wrapping at 80 characters. My config file...

Far30b3367 fails to install if you rename the MSI
I wrote a chocolatey package to install Far as an MSI. Chocolatey renames MSIs after downloading them. Generally, this doesn't cause a problem, and it didn't cause a problem for Far 3.0.2779. However, i does for the current stable version. I get the following error in the event log: Product: Far Man...

Re: Installing specific features with silent install
I found an alternative way to do this:
Code: Select all
msiexec /i "C:\Users\zippy\AppData\Local\Temp\chocolatey\Far-3\Far-3Install.msi" /quiet ADDLOCAL=Addons,Colors,Macros,SetUp,Shell,XLat

Re: Installing specific features with silent install
I used Orca to create an MST to set the Level of the Addons and Addons subfeatures at level 1. I applied it with msiexec /i "C:\Users\zippy\AppData\Local\Temp\chocolatey\Far-3\Far-3Install.msi" /passive TRANSFORM=e:\chocolatey-packages\Far-3-package\tools\Far-3.mst /l* .\Far-mis.log The fe...

Installing specific features with silent install
Hello, I want to do a silent install of FarManager e.g. msiexe /i "Far-3Install.msi" /passive . I would also like to set specific installation features when I do so. I've looked at the property and feature tables in Orca as suggested at http://www.scriptlogic.com/smbit/article/the-complete...

Re: Open an archive with arc: then selecting .. bug
By the way what do you expect after "view:D\1\1\2\3\4\5\file.txt" and Esc ? I expect an plugin that loads the contents of a file into a panel to behave differently from one that loads the contents of a file into the viewer or editor. I expect farmanager to create the abstraction that the ...

Open an archive with arc: then selecting .. bug
Hello, Lets say I amd in c:\users\zippy\Downloads. I then open open up an achive in far with the command arc:c:\myArchives\foo.zip. When I am done with the archive I page-up to the ".." and hit enter. Instead of taking me to c:\myArchives, which I'd expect, it takes me to c:\users\zippy\Do...

Oddities with UNC path browsing net: versus cd \\foo\bar
Hi, I've noticed what I consider to be inconsistencies in the far 2.0 unc path browsing functionality. Before opening bugs I wanted to disclose them here to see if people agree. The first is cd \\serverName does not work, but net:\\serverName does. This is inconsistant because cd \\server\share does...

Re: PowerShellFar - PowerShell host for Far Manager (English
I have a question about multi-line brackets that I asked on super user http://superuser.com/questions/249675/can-i-use-a-multi-line-function-or-control-flow-segment-into-the-powershellfar-ed BTW this is all go information in this forum, but maybe a wiki might be a better way to organize it. Thank yo...

sqlcmd in far is puts it in "overwrite" mode every newline
Really bizzar behavior. If I run sqlcmd from inside farmanager or winsshd it seems to revert to overwrite mode every newline. I posted details on serverfault:

Whats the best plugin for querying SQL Server?
I am looking for a far plugin that would be an alternative to sqlcmd for talking to SQL Server 2008. What is the best plugin for that job?

Running a process in a separate Screen (F12)
Hi, I'd like to be able to run a program and have it run in a screen in farmanger so I can switch to it by pressing F12 like the internal view and editor commands. Is that possible? I'd also like similar behavior for the external editor. In my particular case the commands I want to do this with most...

Thanks! Is there a ticket I can track?chupakabra wrote:I confirm installation error on Win2k. It is related to migration to VS2010 compiler to build custom action library. This will be fixed in a future.
