How to search for files faster in FAR manager!
Here is another plugin that supports Everything in FAR: https://forum.farmanager.com/viewtopic.php?f=39&t=11195 Good to know. Right now I'm using LiveFileSearch , it's a realtime interface to the Everything program within FAR, as the results are shown realtime it's really snappy to find stuff e...

Trying to make a Python support plugin
143650 There is a usable implementation of Python plugin in Russian side of the board http://forum.farmanager.com/viewtopic.php?f=8&t=9998 That's kinda old news . You even posted in the same thread on the same day. :) I just wish I knew that there was a better interface before I put in a lot of...

Directory size and volume free space in Bytes again?
Is there a way to quickly/temporarily see exact size of current/selected/total files in bytes? It is very useful to quickly compare two files/folders. You can show the file size in bytes in the panels status line, you can edit the panel mode to change what is show in the status line. It shows the s...

Is there a way to use AltF9 for a macro?
140970 You should rather be more systematic in minimizing the conditions prior to reporting any problems. Unfortunately I don't have the luxury, every time I'm trying to move to Far3 form Far2 there is something that I can't get to work right, and if it takes too long to figure it out I give up and...

Is there a way to use AltF9 for a macro?
Thanks for the incredibly fast reply (again) 140965 You can assign a macro to this shortcut as to any other of that kind — exactly as specified in Help. Of course, why do I even bother. So this time it was ConEmu that had taken over the AltF9 key and made it non functional in a Far macro, so I remov...

Is there a way to use AltF9 for a macro?
Hi,
I would like to use AltF9 in the editor but it seems to be hard coded for "Maximize/restore" window, can this be changed?

Far3 how to remove cmdline history autoselection
140940 The behaviour has been unified in build 1498 (which is, by the way, still Far2). Holy shit, sometimes I hate my brain, so I'm using "Alternative history" in Far2 so I use a macro to use it's "previous command" command. So that's why I wasn't seeing that in Far2. I could b...

Far3 how to remove cmdline history autoselection
140938 Something like this: Thanks, but I wasn't really asking for a macro. I wanted to know if there was an option to restore old (Far2/Far1?) behavior as stuff functioned differently. But as there don't seem to be an option, and your macro seems to make it work like I want, I might as well use it...

Far3 how to remove cmdline history autoselection
I wouldn't mind the selection as long as a backspace didn't remove the selected text and only the last character. Looking in the Far changelog the dialog code seems related and the dialog settings have a [ ] Backspace deletes unchanged text option that would be nice to have for the commandline also....

Far3 how to remove cmdline history autoselection
140931 140930 I press Ctrl+End I use CtrlE/CtrlX (well, actually I remap it to CtrlD to free CtrlX for “Cut”) and the command line text does not get selected. They don't work the same as I can complete a partial command from the history with ctrl+end. So why was this changed and why is there no opt...

Far3 how to remove cmdline history autoselection
Thanks for the quick reply. Can you please elaborate how exactly you do it and what is “selected” here? Empty commandline, I press Ctrl+End, the cmdline shows the last command from the history, and it's selected so if I press Backspace the whole line is deleted. Hopefully this is clearer. This don't...

Far3 how to remove cmdline history autoselection
Hi, So I'm trying to move to Far3 (again) and trying to configure it the way I like it. So when I cycle through the command history the line is selected by default (Why?) I don't like that, but I can't find an option to not have it selected like in Far2. Surely there is an option I'm missing or do I...

Cool, thanks. I guess that's what I'm studying tonight. I'll wait to post my code until I have studied it to see if my code is still useful.HaRT wrote: jonib, please have a look at http://forum.farmanager.com/viewtopic.p ... 11#p134711 (just published).
