Re: FAR Translation in English.
Well, from my point of view a "not perfect" translation is better than "no translation". Anyways, i've tried to do my best to help, i don't think i can do more than that. P.S. i'm not complaining or blaming anybody, so don't get me wrong, i'm just disappointed it didn't turn out ...

Re: FAR Translation in English.
Ok for me. After looking at the patch more carefully I've discovered that most of 473 differences (many of them are multi-line ones) require additional editing. Sorry, it's too much work for me. (I hoped that it's almost ready but it isn't, unfortunately). If you tell me what kind of editing is req...

Re: FAR Translation in English.
I'va managed to do the translations for the far.lng and hlf files used by the plugins (the ones that come with FAR). The attached zip file FarEng.hlf.m4.diff_21.01.2014.zip contains the diff files (i finally realised that UnxUtils contains the diff tool to create the diff files  ) I've used th...

Re: FAR Translation in English.
Hmm, in my case, it gives “depth of the directory stack”… How did you get that ridiculous “translation”? I just realised that i had google translate set to "autodetect language" (i forgot to set it to Russian), and now that i looked closer, it says that for that given expression it detect...

Re: run FAR3 as regular user on terminal server
Is Default.farconfig meant to be a subdirectory that can contain a complete set of FAR config (database) files? Is this then copied to each users own user profile directory when he/she uses FAR for the first time? Or is it really a configuration _file_ and if so, what is it supposed to contain? The...

Re: FAR Translation in English.
I have made the translation of the FarEng.hlf.m4. Since i wasn't sure that i generated the diff file correctly (i've used WinMerge's "Generate Patch" tool), I've attached both the diff and the complete FarEng.hlf.m4 file, here's the archive containing both files FarEng.hlf.m4.zip There was...

Re: run FAR3 as regular user on terminal server
I might be wrong, but FAR by default tries to write in the "%APPDATA%\Far Manager" and "%LOCALAPPDATA%\Far Manager" folders and the user might not have write permissions when starting FAR through terminal. One solution would be to configure FAR to save the settings in a local fol...

Re: FAR Translation in English.
Thanx for the quick reply.
I'll attach the modified FarEng.hlf.m4.file after i do some of the translations.
The language file seems to be translated, i'll have a look at it too.
P.S. sorry for mixing up GIT with SVN, i haven't actually looked where the code is.

FAR Translation in English.
I've seen that some of the files (for example the Help files) are not completely translated in English, some sections are still in Russian. I would like to help in translating them, i can use Google Translate for the basic translation and then fix the translation problems (and alignment if it's need...

Crash in Help if macro has lots of keys assigned
I discovered that if i have a macro that has a lot of keys assigned to the same command then when i call help and search for "!Macro:Viewer!" (which shows the macros assigned to the viewer) then FAR crashes, before that it occupies a lot of memory (over 2Gb memory even though FAR usually u...

Re: How to change the columns of Find file results?
When you open the "Find File" dialog there is an "Advanced" button, if you press it you get to the advanced settings, it should look something like : ╔══════════ Find file advanced options ══════════╗ ║ Search only in the first: ║ ║ ║ ║ [ ] Process alternate data streams ║ ╟─────...

Re: MoreHistory — История папок и плагинов
Hy, first of all sorry for writing in English (i don't speak Russian). Since FAR 3713, the API gave support so the history knows about the folder that a command has been executed in. My request for this plugin would be to add the possibility to filter commands from MoreHistory according to their fol...

Re: [Req] Macro to disable history on certain folders
the "execute command" doesn't include the full path, so filtering must be done on the filename/command not the folder. It was only recently (r3713) that Far started saving in its history the directory a command was run in and exposing it to plugins via FAR API. History plugin authors have...
