Build HelloWorld.cpp plugin

Hi, I'm trying to compile the HelloWorld.cpp example plugin (Haven't done any C/C++ coding for 20 years) I got it almost (I hope) compiled but I'm getting this error: linking final.32W.gcc/HelloWorld.dll d:/mingw/bin/../lib/gcc/mingw32/4.8.1/../../../../mingw32/bin/ld.exe: cannot find -lCRT collect2...

ConEmu Alpha icon change

Did you try the “/i” command-line option of Far? See Help for explanation. I do not see any /i option for Far in the help. But I finally found the command line options for ConEmu and there was a /icon option, so life's good again, thanks. I knew it had to be something simple but just couldn't find ...

Using Python in Far

Hi, Is there a way to use Python to make plugins or interact with Far in any way?
I haven't been able to decipher the Russian forum for anything useful about it.

ConEmu Alpha icon change

Hi, so I'm trying to move to Far3 for the third time. So I have installed ConEmu Alpha to use with Far3 and I see the program icon has been changed for ConEmu. I kinda want a Far related icon when I'm using Far (even if it is running inside ConEmu), so is there a way to change the ConEmu icon to the...

Re: indexing network drives for search

hi, is there a way to make FAR Manager use windows search index or something else? I have a big NAS with network shares, and it's slow to search among them using simple search.. I use Everything search to search fast local files and also on then network. There is a CLI interface so I have it integr...

So no ideas how to fix this? I really would like to use ConEmu but I need to be able to use the commandline properly. :(

Re: Far 3 + ConEmu + TCC + Win7 64bit = Can't use parameter

Seems like Far had doublequoted your unquoted command. You may check that enabling "Debug log" in ConEmu (Settings->Debug) or via ProcessMonitor. I can't figure out to get any useful info with the debug options. So I used Process Monitor look below for events I found, hopefully useful. How to fix t...

Far 3 + ConEmu + TCC + Win7 64bit = Can't use parameter

I'm trying to get Far 3 (32bit) using TCC (32bit) to work running in ComEmu. But when I run an internal TCC command from Far3s command line with parameters it won't work, I get the below error: Far Manager, version 3.0 (build 3229) x86 Copyright © 1996-2000 Eugene Roshal, Copyright © 2000-2013 Far G...

Re: What is panel.setpos in LUA?

macroapi_manual.chm OK, I guess many of the functions have the same syntax as the old macro language, so I'll try that next time. Here is your macro converted. Thanks, but mines nicer. mmode(1,0) if APanel.SelCount>0 then     local Files={}     for i=1,APanel.SelCount do         Files[i]=pan...

Re: What is panel.setpos in LUA?

Thanks for the quick reply. Lua is case sensitive language. Hence, it is Panel.SetPos, exactly as spelled in the manual. The manual currently has no English translation. Problem is I haven't found any syntax in any manual. I found one reference in "macroapi_manual.chm" but that don't actually show h...

Solved: What is panel.setpos in LUA?

I'm trying to convert a macro from Far2 to the new Far3 Lua. What is "panel.setpos" in Lua? I need to jump to a file based on it's name in the panel. And is "luafar_manual.chm" the only English documentation available? Edit: Is the old Macro commands still available in Far3? as all documentation (in...

Re: Folder History Navigation Improvement idea - Huge benefi

Sounds like Alternative History plugin has the functionality you want.
You can specify how long you must be in a directory for it to be recorded in the history, resulting in much more relevant entries.
