Hi! thanks for far manager, im a long time user, but this is the first time i dont find any solution to my problem

There is any way to FAR manager auto change the panel mode, depend the directory?

For example, normally i just use Full+8.3 file name, but in some directory i preffer a custom made Alternative Full + long names.

My idea is *if possible* to FAR manager automatically change to Alternative Full + long names when i enter a directory, and restore Full+8.3 when im out

Thanks, sorry my english

I believe you can achieve this by using macros. Hopefully some other guys on the forum can direct you how to do this or even help with some sample code.

theelf, Shell_RememberSelected.lua implements similar functionality, yet with preserving selected items. I believe it can be used as a base for the script implementing the requested behaviour. Or you can ask the author and hope he likes your idea.

thanks for help, i check the far manager help, but looks comlicated, and sadly i dont have the time to read so long stuff and learn it for now
I left for future free time ;)

Finally I solve my problem with a autohotkey script. Every time i enter the directory "c:\emula" change to Alternative Full + long names and if not inside this directory restore the Full+8.3

I just open the script with far and close too
