You want to talk about Far Manager, but don't know where to turn?

This does not work in Windows 7 by default, unless...

Admin is so Admin, what else can I say :)
But it could be not so long and complex - why?
I need remote access to my home PC, so using short and weak password doesn't sound very wise to me. And even short password will require more keystrokes than pressing one button in UAC.
What's the reason to run something else under both limited and admin account?
Actually, I can't remember when i run even Far under admin account last time :) But you are right, not so many programs need to be configured under both accounts.

And installs ugliest sets of crutches like antivirus instead :)

This does not work for Windows 7.
:(
I need remote access to my home PC
Under admin account? I believe no. So no reason to use very hard password for it. For me, it takes about 3 sec to enter 11 chars long admin password. And - yes, I don't consider it strong enough :) .

By default, all local admin accounts have remote desktop access. This is controlled by "Allow log on through Remote Desktop Services" user right, which by default is enabled for two groups: "Administrators" and "Remote Desktop Users".

Therefore, if remote desktop access is allowed on the system, it's better to have strong password for all admin acccounts.

PS. my case, 19 character admin password in 3 seconds :)

By default, all local admin accounts have remote desktop access.
Of course it is implied that VPN/RDC is off for such accounts.

To enhance this approach, you can create multiple admin and non-admin FAR shortcuts with different icons to indicate different kind of work to do with this FAR manager instance. Also see item 3 below.
