hello,
I have some difficulties with saving files with UTF-8 encoding. When I save (even with shift-F2) file as UTF-8 and open it in notepad++, it tells me that the file is in ANSI. I may switch to UTF-8 encoding in editor, I have UTF-8 selected as default encoding, still the same. Everytime I re-save the file (which may originally be UTF-8), notepad++ finds it to be ANSI.
what am I doing wrong?

save file as UTF-8
UTF-8 is a superset of ANSI.
Your UTF-8 file is indistinguishable from ANSI if it contains only English text.
Add some Chinese, Cyrillic, emoji, funny punctuation or just save it with BOM to see the difference.
