Alternate Color Schemes?

Post by Soyuz »

Hi!

How to configure alternate color schemes for far manager than the classic blue scheme?

I noticed there are alternate shortcut icons, suggesting that there are red, lime/black and black/white color shemes. I cannot find this option.

Kind regards,

The icons don't necessarily reflect existing color schemes.
Please have a look within %FARHOME%\Addons\Colors\. Please refer to Help on Far command line switches for hints on how to import these settings. You may need to restart Far for the settings to take effect.

Thank you!

I found the color scheme files in

Code: Select all

%FARHOME%\Addons\Colors\
.
However, after thoroughly reading the help section "Command Line Switches", I have still found no hints as to how to use a .farconfig file.
In my far.ini I have set UseSystemProfiles=0 and my Profile is in

Code: Select all

%FARHOME%\Profile
.
In my Far profile, there is a colors.db file, but nothing like colorscheme_xyz.farconfig or such.

I would appreciate more detailed instructions on how to use the custom color schemes included in the Far release.

Kind regards,
Nicolas

Sorry to say that, it means your skill level is not high enough to master Far configuration.

Soyuz, it might not be obvious, but help topics are scrollable - what you're looking for is closer to the end of the topic.

Sorry for stupid formating.
For some reason forum engine didn't want me to post this link despite the fact that it is leading to it's own homesite))
Had to get rid of the dot and add some extra spaces.

zvnp28, I hope you find the solution in the following topic: Apply the color scheme used in the web site screenshots.
