FAR 1.7x --> FAR 2 migration

Post by Konrad »

I did the migration in a bit brutal way: export all registry settings from 1.7x, change /Far/ to /Far2/ in all registry key names, and then import the settings. All works fine and nice, I got all my old settings working.

Question: is there a danger of something going seriously wrong with the settings migration like this? Maybe some values are interpreted differently? I did not notice anyhting weird for the last few weeks, but...

Re: HKLM\Software. Any plugins keep their data in there? I see some MultiArc-related entries in there.

Re: Apply command history. I use this option very seldom, no loss if history is not transferred.

Thanks for the answers!

Thanks, understood that no matter how the migration was hold, it's more important how the system works :Yahoo!:
