I'm a happy farmanager user at work.
Recently, the administrators reduced privileges on the root of c:\ directory.
Now, I can't update or access the tree3.far file.
ALTF10, F6 F10 or CTRLT becomes useless.
Is there a way to change the tree3.far file location ? (for exemple in document and settings..)
tree3.far location

Re: tree3.far location
Perhaps something is wrong.FarEng.hlf wrote:Code: Select all
@TreePanel $ #Panels: tree panel# ... Far stores folder tree information in the file named #tree3.far# at root folder of each drive. For read-only drives this information is stored in the hidden folder Tree.Cache within the folder containing Far.exe.
Maybe "read-only drives" mean "optical drives"?
P.S.
There is related wish on bugtracker: 000186: SavePathTree
Re: tree3.far location
Perhaps "read-only drives" mean "optical drives". Currently I can write on C:\ drive except two folders "c:\" and "c:\program files". For instance, My FarManager location is "C:\PortableApps". I Have all needed acces on this path.
Which is stange is that I can create a folder on th root of c: drive but not a file...
