Maximaising is not maximasing

Post by jedpod »

Hi, if use Alt-F9 - result is Far window but size is determined by desktop size and it is not maximized.
Try as follows:
1. Alt-F9 in order to maximize
2. Move Far window to any place on desktop - yes, you can move maximized window !!!For all other windows it is not possible
3. Alt-F9 to restore Far's window normal size
4. Alt-F9 to maximize window again - see? window is not maximized although it has size of maximized window.

It is annoying for me as I have to change Far window size and after maximize option works.
It is not real bug - it is not optimal work but as I mention it is annoying - especially if change resolution - when change display from laptop screen into external monitor (with docking station) or after using zoom tool (magnifier window) - I don't know the exact English name for this tool as my operating system is Polish.

I think Far window's size calculation is not proper - it doesn't include border size. I mean internal size of Far window with maximize option is exactly size of desktop but window has got thin frame around and it is not included.

As this is my first post I would like to thank to Far's developpers - Far is the best files manager I ever used. Thanks a lot.
