qPlayEx small file bug and suggestions
qPlayEx small file bug and suggestions
I've just noticed that qPlayEx has a problem playing small sound files (eg. wave files < about 80kb here). It just stays silent when playing these files.
Just guessing: In case you load all audio files as BASS streams this could cause the problem? Small files like to be loaded as BASS samples afaik.
Also it tends to GPF when listening through many small files.
I'd like to suggest these features or options:
- stop playing sound when player window is closed with ESC key
- play next/previous file in panel feature (currently I'm using dirty macros)
Thanks for the nice plugin, Vladimir. Hoping for an update!

Re: qPlayEx small file bug and suggestions
Excellent plugin! Two suggestions:
1) Is it possible to make a quick fade-in/out when going into pause, playing or stopping? (Like with Winamp's out_ds.dll plugin)
2) Global hotkeys do not work for me... how do they work? I configured Ctrl+all the numbers in the numpad to the different functions (volume, fast forward, play, stop etc) but they work only when the Far window is active...
Keep up the good work, CrOm!

Re: qPlayEx small file bug and suggestions
It would be great, just to not be "aggressive" with the speakers when releasing the pause at high volumesMarton wrote: 1) Is it possible to make a quick fade-in/out when going into pause, playing or stopping? (Like with Winamp's out_ds.dll plugin)

I knew there was something I wasn't doing right... The "global" hotkeys are not the same as the Far ones...Marton wrote: 2) Global hotkeys do not work for me... how do they work? OS is Win XP SP3. I will build a Hotkey.reg and let you know, but I need to know how to handle the numpad numbers. I want to handle all with Ctrl+the numpad numbers (like in Far):
"Play"="Ctrl+NumEnter"
"Pause"="Ctrl+Num2"
"Stop"="Ctrl+Shift+NumEnter"
"Rew"="Ctrl+Num4"
"FF"="Ctrl+Num6"
"Prev"="Ctrl+Num1"
"Next"="Ctrl+Num3"
"VolUp"="Ctrl+Substract"
"VolDn"="Ctrl+Add"
"GUI"="Ctrl+Num0"
Is it possible?

Re: qPlayEx small file bug and suggestions
The Hotkeys work PERFECTLY.
THANK YOU CrOm you da mannnnnnnn!
Edit: What is the code for "Enter" in the numpad? I tried "Enter" alone and it works, but also normal Ctrl-Enter works

Re: qPlayEx small file bug and suggestions
Two more tiny bugs:
1) On the Playlist, Shift-F7 moves the current song down, and Shift-F6 moves it up... OK, when moving it up it moves up but also starts playing and it shouldn't (Shift-F7 works properly )
2) When the Playlist is on the panel, if the screen saver starts it doesn't work properly (The screen saver does not clear parts of the playlist panel so it looks garbled)

Re: qPlayEx small file bug and suggestions
Maybe this clears it up:
Shift-F6 is acting exactly the same as F6.
F7 and Shift-F7 are OK.

Re: qPlayEx small file bug and suggestions
I am so so so so sorry!!
Yes, I had Shift-F6 on Extended Copy, I changed it and now QPlay works OK!
The only question remaining is what is the key code for Enter in the numpad
Thanks for your support, CrOm!!!

Re: qPlayEx small file bug and suggestions
Hi All...
I Was Thinking About qPlayEx Ability To Play Media Files Inside Archives (RAR ZIP ACE and so on)...
I Was Unable To Play Them... Even If On qPlayEx Play List The Files That I've Chosen Appear...
A Really A Great Plugin... Have Almost Replaced WinAmp For Me! Just Missing The Archive Support!
