Far v3.0.4242+ x64: Crash in tree view on drive with mounted dir

Post by LigH »

I have a drive where I added a directory which is in fact a mounted USB card reader device (instead of assigning an own drive letter to this device, I assigned a directory on an NTFS partition).

After building the tree3.far file successfully and complete, Far manager crashes with an access violation. Afterwards, Far manager also crashes when calling the tree view (Alt+F10) with an existing tree3.far file.

Code: Select all

   ╔════════════════════ Ausnahmefehler aufgetreten ════════════════════╗
   ║ Exception: Zugriffsverletzung (Lesen von 0x0000000000000092) ║
   ║ Address: 0x000000013F319510 ║
   ║ Function: mainImpl ║
   ║ Module: C:\Program Files\Far Manager\Far.exe ║

   ║ { Terminate Far } [ Debug ] [ Ignorieren ] ║
   ╚════════════════════════════════════════════════════════════════════╝
Far manager 2.0.1807 does not have any issues with this structure, neither has Far manager 3.0.4040.

Not yet fixed in Far 3.0.4269.

Far manager appears to crash on possibly every drive when calling the tree view dialog with Alt+F10; displaying the tree in the other pane with Ctrl+T does not crash though.

Which bug tracker category is preferable here, "Dialog"?

1) Check latest nightly build
2) Panel.Tree is preferable
3) There is a chance that all tree view functional will be cut off from far3

Still crashing Far Manager v3.0 build 4278 x64 (2015-02-26).

Once I created the bug report, I can't edit the category anymore?

Leave your vote here (discussion in russian but english message is ok).
Summary: cut off slowly and bugly tree view...
+1 -- agreed
only one vote -- leave and add option to turn off.

Thank you. Google Translate helped understanding the previous replies. I suggested turning it into an addon...

It's a pity.
The expandable/collapsible tree without caching might be really handy.
