I'm running Far 2 on WinXP.
Recently something it did triggered an antivirus program and far.exe was "quarantined".
When I realised that I whitelisted it in the antivirus and reinstalled Far, same version, the last Far2 release.
Most settings seem as before, but now I find I cannot create RAR archives using shift-F1 as previously.
It only offers 7z, zip, and Other: bzip2, etc,; not including RAR.
I still have rar.exe in my path.
How do I reenable making RAR archives?
I use this all the time to make .cbr files, for one thing, can't shift to 7z.

Nothing changed since 2013 -- viewtopic.php?f=36&t=8191
You still can use Multiarc, just exclude .rar files from Arclite processed extensions.

Yeah, I realised later I'd had a similar problem 6 years ago.
As Rust Cohle said, Time is like a flat circle.
So I had to (re)install MultiArc and disable Arclite -- did Far delete MultiArc when I reinstalled it? It wasn't in the Far plugin folder in any case as I'm pretty sure it was previously.
