I'm currently using this laptop that I only use when I travel and it's been awhile since I've used it.
On my desktop at home, when I hit Alt-F7 to search for files, in the Advanced dialog, I swear there is a way in that dialog to search by modified date. But alas, I've installed the latest nightly version of Far Manager "Far Manager v3.0 build 6395 x64 (2024-11-29)", and it's not in there.
I must have somehow changed the default Alt-F7 plugin to something else.
Does anyone know how to add more features to the Alt-F7 dialog, including searching by last modified date?

Thank you, but that's not it.
There's something else that shows the filter options directly after hitting the Advanced button.
It's very similar to the filter dialog, but it allows me to exclude directories in the search.
It opens the result in a panel after searching instead of that gray popup window.
Does that ring a bell?

Yes, that's it! I installed RESearch on my laptop, but I have to access it through the plugin menu. How did I set it up so it replaces the regular the Find dialog? At home, I know I don't hit F11 and select it in the menu every time I do a search.

First of all, it's not a bad thing to call plugins via the menu, especially if you assign them hotkeys (see Help while in the Plugin commands menu). This way you have easy access to both the built-in and plugins' functionality.
If you're desperate to call RESearch on the laptop the same as on your home PC, see
C:\Programs\Far Manager\Plugins\RESearch\Add-ons\Macros\scripts\RESearch.lua
(correct for your real FAR installation path). If unsure what that means, read FAR FAQ linked at the forum's page top using your favorite online translator.Фар есть инструмент, а не нянька. © 2009 DrKnS

Got it! There's an instruction in RESearch's Install.txt that says:
In Far 3.0, you should copy RESearch.lua from Add-ons\Macros\scripts to
%APPDATA%\Far Manager\Profile\macros\scripts folder.
APPDATA is something like C:\Users\YOURNAME\AppData\Roaming in Windows 7.

Of course I'm desperate! This is an awesome plugin!
When I'm working with Claude AI, I often have to update changed files in my project, and with this RESearch thing you can set the date when you update them, and next time just hit the search and immediately pull up what's changed and it's super handy.
