How to Avoid Vertical Alignment when File Names are Long?

Post by CoolCat83 »

How can I avoid Vertical Alignment Issue when the Filename are long? I frequently come across this issue, I do have some files with long names. And it is quite irritating to see the vertical alignment goes off.

I am sure this has been asked before. Please help.

The problem is in some double-width characters rather than in file name length.
Try the latest nightly build, it may be already fixed (though I'm not sure).

CoolCat83, can you give us an example of file name that breaks the alignment (all names are blurred in the screenshot)?

CoolCat83, make sure that the “Fullwidth-aware rendering” flag is ON in FAR Options | Interface settings.

@HaRT, thank you so much. I enabled FullWidth Aware Rendering, and it fixed it. Why is it set to ON by default? Are there any "side effects" of this setting?
