Show release date and SHA256 for each plugin version

Post by przemoc »

Not sure if this is the right forum for discussing https://plugring.farmanager.com/

It would be useful if Far PlugRing would show:

- release date (YYYY-MM-DD)
- SHA256

for each plugin version.

Right now there are only Added and Updated fields per plugin page. It's not immediately obvious if the bottom file is always the latest one, I suspect that Updated date may change not only when new version is uploaded but also when metadata (description, etc.) are updated. Finally SHA256 helps user confirm if it has the right file. I'm not sure if same named file can be reuploaded with different content, but even if no, having hash would be more transparent to the users.

[Far PlugRing] Show release date and SHA256 for each plugin version

PlugRing has much more serious issues (like binaries being lost) for years, so there's no hope that improvements like these will be made anytime soon.

Sorry for choosing initially wrong forum and thank you for moving it to the right place. (I suspect I somehow didn't scroll to the end and overlooked it.)

If PlugRing state is that dire, does it mean it is planned to be replaced rather than fixed/improved?

It means it is de-facto abandoned. No plans of any kind that I know of. If you have skills and capacity to provide a sustainable replacement, please come up with plans of your own.
