How to capture or redirect output of far:about?

Post by przemoc »

I'm in the middle of responding to my recent thread, and stumbled upon following side problem.

How to capture or redirect output of far:about?

I don't think Far supports chaining prefix calls, e.g. edit:< far:about, or redirecting prefix calls either to a file, e.g. far:about >output.txt, or to other programs, e.g. far:about | clip.

If someone has limited number of plugins, then possibly the output can fit in one screen, but it's not my situation.
Technically I can do Ctrl+O (to hide panels) and Shift+MouseWheel (to scroll buffer) to see it (at least in WT, that may be not the case in ConHost/OpenConsole), but I was wondering if there is a way to intercept such output without relying on mouse.

Change the screen buffer size for your console window or in the shortcut, and you will see the message in full.
