It is an extremely bad bug report, so I doubt anyone will help you until you give enough detail.
The main questions are:
1. How to reproduce what you think is an error? (In detail.)
2. What you expect as a result of the steps.
3. What you observe instead.

I'll try to apply my telepathic powers...

peotta, some recent changes in Far might have caused that.
Please try to inspect your highlighting settings and make sure that all desired options (mask, attributes etc.) are activated: F9 - files highlighting and sort groups - F4 on every item.

Hi, have the same issue.

I just download night build 3.0.5097, update my old Far and now every file and folders has equal color (dark cyan). I.e. no difference between Folder, files, executable files, etc...
When I disable files highlighting then all files and folders becomes cyan color.
In black and white mode I had the same - only one color for all files and folders.

Could you fix it?

Thanks!

Repro steps:
  • Full uninstall 3.0.5097 (MSI, x64)
  • Install 3.0.5000
  • Run Far. Check that file coloring is enabled. Exit far.
  • Install 3.0.5097 (MSI Upgrade)
  • Run Far. Check that file coloring is doesn't work as usual.

Registered just to post in this topic.
  • F9
  • "Options"
  • "Files highlighting and sort groups"
  • Go through each entry
    • Look at the "Attributes" section. It will be disabled (no [x] in front of it).
    • If you see any options marked with [x] in the list (some entries don't), then enable the "Attributes" section.
  • Hightlighting should now be working again.
  • Save settings.
With the default highlighting settings you should go from this:

Code: Select all

| .............................. .... | *.*
| .............................. .... | *.*
| .............................. .... | *.*|..
| .............................. .... | ..
| .............................. .... | <exec>
| .............................. .... | <arc>
| .............................. .... | <temp>
| .............................. .... |
to this:

Code: Select all

| ....H+........................ .... | *.*
| ......S+...................... .... | *.*
| ..............D+.............. .... | *.*|..
| ..............D+.............. .... | ..
| .............................. .... | <exec>
| .............................. .... | <arc>
| .............................. .... | <temp>
| ..............D+.............. .... |
