Hi,
I inputted the full path of the editor in the Editor panel for Alt-F4 external editor option, followed by a space and the symbols '!.!'.
But I'm doing something wrong. It correctly opens the file in the external editor. But when I exit from the editor, it also exits from FM.
Then it opens Explorer, pointing to the error log folder. The error in bug_report.txt, predictably, is that the parameter is incorrect.
Before setting up the external editor, I looked at the Help Doc describing Special Symbols. !.! seems to represent the long filename of the selected file.
Is there another parameter we should use, to specify the selected file to be opened?

How to use an external editor for text files
Never mind. The error is specific to the editor I tried. With Notepad as well as another text-mode editor, it works fine.
Got one more question tonight, will open a separate thread.
